MISSION
The Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association was incorporated in New York on February 3, 1938. On June 6, 1947, the Corporation was recognized as tax-exempt under Section 101(b) of the Internal Revenue Code, as then in effect, and has continued to be a tax-exempt charity. The Corporation is, and shall continue to qualify as, a publicly supported charitable organization exempt from federal taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provision of any subsequent law.
The purpose of the Association is to foster knowledge of the practices and principles of the biodynamic method of agriculture, horticulture, and forestry in the North American continent and to advance the applications of this method through educational activities such as research, lectures, conferences and through issuing and distributing literature on the biodynamic methods, the establishment of information, research and demonstration farming and gardening centers; developing and making available biodynamic compost preparations; and providing consultation and extension services to farmers, gardeners, and foresters. It may undertake other charitable activities related to such principal purpose.
