YLF owns land and manages conservation easements in three regions of the United States: Southeastern Wisconsin, Southern New Hampshire, and Northern California. YLF is a supporting organization to the Biodynamic Association (WI), Michael Fields Agricultural Institute (WI), and RSF Social Finance (CA).
Hawthorne Valley Farm is located on a 400+-acre biodynamic farm with dairy herd, small animals, vegetable gardens that serve 4 CSA groups and 5 Greenmarkets, on-site creamery, bakery, and lacto-fermented artisan food production, Hawthorne Valley includes diverse place-based learning opportunities from an early childhood through 12th grade independent day school to summer camps and afterschool programs, and ecological and social research initiatives as well as artistic studies.
