Wali Via has been making the biodynamic preparations since 1976. Until his retirement seven years ago, he co-owned and managed Winter Green Farm, which continues to run after a successful transition of ownership. Winter Green raises veggies, berries, cattle, and sheep, the majority of which is sold directly to consumers through a CSA program, farmers markets, and direct beef and lamb sales.
He is a past member of the Biodynamic Association Board of Directors and has been a long-time member of the Fellowship of Preparation Makers. For a couple of decades he taught biodynamics to Waldorf teachers in training in Eugene.
His past farming passions include hiking, kayaking, spending time with the grandchildren, and leading spiritual retreats.
