In honor of National Farmer’s Day, the National Young Farmers Coalition & HRN are partnering to screen the film Common Ground on Sunday, October 13th from 4-8 pm at Churchtown Dairy in Hudson, New York.
The screening will be followed by a live panel discussion with Leah Penniman of Soul Fire Farm, Chris Nickell of Finca Seremos, and me, Michelle Hughes of Young Farmers. The panel will be moderated by Leigh Ollman, and recorded as a special episode of the HRN podcast The Farm Report. This is a fundraising event for Young Farmers and HRN, with funds being used to support our farmer leadership and advocacy efforts during this critical Farm Bill push, and the production of our joint podcast series.
The event begins at 4pm with a mixer of local farmers and event attendees, including complimentary refreshments and food truck meals available for purchase. The film will screen at 5pm, and the panel discussion will take place at 7pm after the film screening.
