The Community Farm of Ann Arbor is Hosting a Fundraiser to Replace Historic Barn Roofs
Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm EST
The event is free and open to the public and will feature a Family Contra Dance from 1-2pm, interactive farm presentations, farm tours and refreshments.
The Community Farm of Ann Arbor (CFAA) invites one and all to join us at this fundraiser for a fascinating journey of discovery that will comprise of 2 interactive presentations:
- "Healthy Structures" presented by Chuck Bultman- Barn Historian and Terry Richards-Innovator
- "Synergy of farming and land management" presented by Dan Gannon-Head, Farmer at the CFAA and Barry Lonik of Treemore Ecology and Land Services.
Children are welcome to come and visit the animals and play on the land. There will be a family dance from 1-2 pm in front of the barns, with music by local band “Nutshell” and local dance caller Drake Meadow. At 2 pm there will be two simultaneous talking tours that will rotate, to accommodate social distancing. Donations are encouraged as the event is a fundraiser for replacement of the barn roofs.
