Blossom’s Farm is a diversified, biodynamic farm organism committed to the regeneration and healing of the land, the community and the self by integrating agriculture, education and art.
We are located in Aromas, CA (35 minutes south of Santa Cruz) on 45 acres of which 5 acres are cultivated with medicinal herbs, food crops and flowers. The rest is oak woodlands and home of livestock such as small numbers of cattle, pigs and sheep.
We are looking for apprentices to learn and work with us for a year.
Focus: Learning the basics of biodynamic farming, herb and vegetable cultivation, Anthroposophy, value adding crops, healing with plants, animal husbandry etc.
Apprentices do have the option to help at farmers markets and/or in our apothecary and fermentation production.
Blossom’s Farm was founded in 2010 and grows, processes, and produces nutrient dense foods and herbal health and skincare products using restorative farming practices. We market these products through our own farm store, farmers markets, and online. It is a vertically integrated business which executes all steps of production from the growing to the value adding.
Blossom’s is more than just a farm - Community building, teaching and research are other aspects of our initiative as we build into the future. We formed Millefolium (Millefoliumorganization.org coming soon) last year as the non-profit branch of our farm. Millefolium is a space for eduction, the arts and the community. A space where research happens, explorations are allowed, paradigms are questioned and solutions are found.
Apprentices are participating in all events and have the choice to participate in workshops as well. Participating in quarterly BDANC meetings is part of the apprenticeship.
