Maysara Winery Harvest Internship

Maysara Winery produces 10,000 cases of Pinot Noir, Pinot gris, Pinot Blanc and Riesling. Our 260 planted acres of Momtazi Vineyards are farmed and certified Biodynamic and nested in the Willamette Valley’s McMinnville AVA. Our facility offers the opportunity to learn how to operate in a premium winemaking environment.

We are currently looking for seasonal interns to join our 2024 Harvest Team. This is a seasonal position that will likely start in late August and finish late October to mid November, working under the direction of our winemaker, Tahmiene Momtazi and our owner Moe Momtazi.

The ideal candidate has a team mentality with a keen eye for detail, a willingness to undertake the tasks needed for smooth operation of our facility, and a passion for wine. Previous experience is valued, but we’re willing to train the right motivated individuals. Those selected will be fully trained in our standard operating procedures and will participate in all aspects of winemaking, from grapes to barrel.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Able to lift 50 lbs. and work extended hours in a physically demanding environment

• Ability to follow directions, operating procedures and adhere to strict safety standards.

• Previous cellar and forklift experience is a plus but not required

• Ability to follow written and verbal work orders

• Ability to work within a team or alone

• Must be flexible and adaptable

Duties and Responsibilities included but are not limited to:

• Sanitation of winery and equipment/ Barrel preparation and tank cleaning

• Sorting grapes

• Cap management

• Tank draining and dig-outs

• Juice/wine transfers

• Racking and barreling

• Forklift driving

• General Lab work (Brix, PH, TA) & Fermentation tracking

• Weighing and inputting fruit deliveries
