SPRING & FULL SEASON 2025 BIODYNAMIC FARMING INTERNSHIPS

AT THREE SPRINGS COMMUNITY FARM

Between Freestone & Bodega in Sonoma County, California

Biodynamically Grown Vegetables, Chickens & Pigs, CSA Membership, Farm School Group Visits Program

Three Springs Community Farm Foundation is currently accepting applications for our 2025 Spring or Full Season Internship Program. The Internship Program takes place on a beautiful 80-acre ranch & Biodynamic Farm 15 minutes from the beach as well as multiple small towns and 1 1/2 hours north of San Francisco. Our Interns complete 24 hours of supported hands-on learning per week in our diverse operation, leading to skill-building in many areas. Hard work, companionship, seasonal eating and nature immersion rejuvenate the soul and spirit throughout the seasons on the land.

We are seeking up to 7 interns at a time. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 6 hours each day, plus 2 animal chore shifts per week. Interns will participate in growing and harvesting vegetables and flowers, farm irrigation, nursery work, CSA packing and marketing, and, in the spring and fall, leading children in school groups programs.

Three Springs Community Farm is a Biodynamic educational farm, with dairy goats, pigs, chickens, vegetables, herbs and flowers. The farm was founded in 2017 to be a learning farm and retreat for the students, families and faculty of Bay Area Waldorf Schools. We host school children for multi-day farm trips each Spring and Fall, and offer family camping throughout the season. We look to the principles of Permaculture, Waldorf Education, Anthroposophy and Social Threefolding to guide our community work, endeavoring to practice love and Direct and Compassionate Communication.

The Three Springs Biodynamic Farming Internship offers hands-on experience in regenerative, Biodynamic farming practices such as planting with the Moon cycles and applying herbal Biodynamic remedies to the soil. Our Farm Interns are important leaders in their own right, helping to guide school group students, and volunteers who visit the farm. Through community action, we learn together how to support the farm and all its inhabitants, so it can in turn support our community of farmers and eaters.

Interns receive on-site trailer housing, farm produce & staple foods. The Internship is a part time, four day a week vocational training, allowing interns the time to pursue a part-time job or other interests or education in their free time. Additional requirements include a program completion deposit of $400, returned upon successful completion of the internship (minimum 13 weeks) and proof of health insurance coverage. Couples who wish to farm together are welcome to apply.

To apply or if you have questions, please email Ronni Sands at figwortrs@gmail.com. Applications will be accepted until the program is full.
