In January 2022, the Biodynamic Association became the Biodynamic Demeter Alliance. Last week, April 2025, the Biodynamic Association re-emerged. The stalwart Biodynamic Demeter Alliance Board of Directors gracefully stepped back and welcomed the new Biodynamic Association board members. The transition was teary but warm, full of rich, heartfelt sharing of our journey together. From the voicing of new intentions from all present, a container arose to hold these hard-won seeds for our work going forward.
We are grateful for the dedication and sacrifice the outgoing board offered toward this becoming. We look forward to taking this next step with the courageous individuals serving on the new Biodynamic Association Board of Directors.
Our work building a healthy relationship with Demeter USA will continue. A new Alliance of Biodynamic Organizations that is more inclusive of the entire biodynamic community is active. Look out for more on this soon.
It is with great gratitude to you, our community, that we share these exciting new steps. You have also been with us through this journey. We are looking forward to meeting you anew and sensing into what is most needed, what we may best serve. We come with renewed vigor and focus to cultivate the powerful spiritual and cultural impulse of biodynamics. We are seeking more and more to individualize and ground biodynamics in this continent.
The social and natural landscapes of each region and place call for healing. With you we wish to pioneer new ways and content of research, education, and training. We're excited to create bridges to help build community around and on farms. Most importantly, we wish to support our dear farmers and land stewards in their daily work. Together we will grow the potential of this healing agriculture we call biodynamics.
Though many of the faces on our staff and board may be familiar to you, we are here to take new steps together. The warmth and care in our relationships is our greatest capacity. May we cultivate a rich, humus-filled community life that can nourish each of the seeds we are carrying within us.
