This winter, the Biodynamic Association unveiled a new logo after more than 25 years with our prior green leaf logo. Reflecting on this new logo, BDA Executive Director Robert Karp felt inspired to draft a few verses, a shortened version of which we included in an email to members in January. Below is the full version, as well as several other poems sent to us by members. We feel honored to share them with you and are extremely grateful to the many others who wrote to us with their
supportive, heartfelt comments.

powers of earth
and cosmos
brought together
in harmony
to create life, health and vitality

potent forces of earth, sun, moon and planets
united by farmers and gardeners
to bring forth abundance

to embrace the dance of life
that bring true nutrition to soil, food and people
earth rising
the seeds of light

vortex of creation
healing the land
hallowing the earth

By Robert Karp

Gathering vortex
Embracing the creation
Within each seed
For future generations

star shine evokes
earth shine
colors mixed by them
come into being
Sun ~ a water-color artist
Moon ~ a shadow maker
star light our inspiration
weather creatures all

Waves of sun and sprouts of light turn to fields of spring time's dew,
then summer's glow, and autumn's honey ~ might we grow from earth to light
and turn to fairy's dust, then beam as waves of sun and sprouts of light to wake the dew at dawn ~

Do you remember how we met each other?
I was down in a memory, cliff.
When we looked to embrace that memory together,
you were too, drawn in.

I hear your heart beating next to my heart,
and I need your heart next to my heart,
In love I am.
