Practical Biodynamics for Farmers

While not an introductory book, Rudolf Steiner's "Agriculture Course," the series of lectures he gave to European farmers in 1924 that initiated the biodynamic movement, is a core text for understanding biodynamics.

The translation we recommend is Agriculture: Spiritual Foundations for the Renewal of Agriculture (link is external), translated by Catherine E. Creeger and Malcolm Gardner. A new edition is under development, but in the meantime copies of the current version (link is external) are available through SteinerBooks. Another option is Agriculture Course: The Birth of the Biodynamic Method (link is external), translated by George Adams.
