Sonomi Obinata is a biodynamic farmer, artist, beekeeper, preschool teacher, and drummer. She spent her early childhood at Grandfather's farm in Japan, which had a strong influence on her life. She wishes to be always surrounded by nature and spirit, and the taiko drum was her tool to connect with nature gods in order to call and dance. She was introduced to biodynamic farming in 2006 and was drawn to it immediately. In 2011, after Japan's Fukushima nuclear disaster, she began to study and practice biodynamics in order to heal the earth and embrace life.
