Laura Riccardi Lyvers is a gardener, preparation maker and grazier. For 15 years she has run the biodynamic program at Foxhollow Farm, a grass-fed beef operation in Crestwood, Kentucky. For several years she was responsible for applying the biodynamic preparations onto the farm’s 735 acres of forages to meet the Demeter certification standards. Laura makes the biodynamic preparations for Foxhollow, as well as for other select farms and gardens and a compost company through her small business, Bio-Ag Resources. She lives with her husband on his family’s large-scale hog and grain farm in central Kentucky, where she gardens herbs, flowers, and food and tends a small dairy herd.
